I just found the most adorable sweet treat for your kiddos this weekend! You must make this Cookie Monster Popcorn recipe! I haven’t made this yummy dish yet, but it looks relatively simple and inexpensive to make at home. My kids will love to make this recipe with me in the kitchen.   • 10 Cups of Popped Popcorn
  • Salt
  • 3 tbsp. Butter (Sweet Cream, Salted)
  • 3 cups Mini Marshmallows
  • Mini Chips Ahoy Cookies
  • Mini Oreo Cookies
  • Wilton Candy Eyes
  • Wilton ColorRight Food Coloring System – Blue

PS: I was able to find these edible Wilton Candy Eyes in the food craft section at my local Walmart. You can find this by the other crafts and sewing section.

My kids absolutely love meatballs! So, I’ve recently tried other recipes that use meatballs but in different ways! Our new favorite meatball recipe is this Hawaiian Meatball & Rice dish. This meal was an instant hit with my family, because we already love Hawaiian food. If this sounds yummy for you as well, be sure to have the following ingredients at home:

  • 1 cup Barbecue Sauce, divided
  • 1 pound ground round beef (85% lean)
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2-1/4 cups instant brown rice, uncooked, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • No-Stick Cooking Spray
  • 1 can (8 oz each) crushed pineapple in juice, undrained
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup frozen chopped green bell pepper

  • 1 8-oz container sour cream

  • 1 small can of diced black olives
  • 1/4 cup ro-tel (or 1 small chopped tomato if you aren’t lazy like me!)

In the mood for curry tonight? If you are like me, curry dishes can be hit or miss. So, I recently tried this Creamy Potato Curry recipe and devoured it, as did my entire family. I think I ate three bowls! If you’d like to try this curry recipe as well, be sure to pick up the following ingredients in-store:

  • ½ cup cashews, soaked in 1 cup of water at least 30 minutes
  • 6 Yukon Gold Potatoes, chopped into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 3 carrots, peeled and diced
  • ½ head cauliflower, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon ground coriander
  • 1 bunch kale (about 10 leaves)
  • 2 cups frozen green peas, thawed
  • 1 (15-ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed

Butter Chicken Recipe!

In the mood for ethnic and Indian food? If so, you must try this Butter Chicken dish. This is my favorite type of dish, so this was a no-brainer recipe! Plus, my kids enjoy eating this curry dish was some store-bought naan. I’ve tried to make naan at home previously and it is never as good. Want to make this delicious recipe as well? If so, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • ½ cup plain yoghurt, full fat
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp tumeric powder
  • 2 tsp garam masala (Note 1)
  • ½ tsp chili powder or cayenne pepper powder (Note 2)
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp fresh grated ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1.5 lb / 750 g chicken thigh fillets, cut into bite size pieces
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil or ghee (Note 3)
  • 1 cup tomato passata or puree (also known as Tomato Sauce in America) (Note 4)
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup cream (full fat or light) OR for a lighter version use ¾ cup light cream + ¼ cup milk (low fat) (I used this)
  • Rice
  • Coriander/cilantro (optional)
