Homemade Yarn Spider Web!

Want to make a homemade spider web with yarn in your home? I do, I do! If so, this DIY project looks relatively simple and you only need four supplies. This craft would be perfect for the Halloween holiday, especially for party decor. Plus, this yarn spider web is very inexpensive to make at home. If you’d like to make this web too,  you’ll need the following supplies for this homemade project:

  • Yarn
  • Scissors
  • Scotch Tape
  • Fake Spiders

PS: If wanting to spend less money, I’ve found all of these supplies at my local dollar store.

Upcycled Jar Canister DIY Project!

Have empty glass jars that you do not know what to do with? If so, we have a fun DIY project for you this weekend. I recently found this Upcycled Jar Canister craft, which looks easy and fun to make. I haven’t made this project yet myself, but I plan to very soon! These canisters would be perfect for holding sugar or pasta. Want to make this craft too? If so, you’ll need the following:

  • 1 Glass Jar
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Hot Glue Gun & One Glue Stick
  • 1 Knob
  • School Glue or Mod Podge

PS: If you do not have any empty glass jars, head to your local thrift store. You can usually pick up these jars for around $0.50-$1. I’ve had great success at my local thrift stores, hopefully you will too.

DIY Halloween Ghosts!

Halloween is fast approaching! In my home, we love decorating for the holidays, especially Halloween. I wanted to make a DIY project with my kiddos this year, so I searched the internet. I recently found this Halloween Ghosts craft, which looks fun. I plan on making this easy craft this weekend. What about you? You’ll need to have the following supplies, if you plan to make these DIY ghosts:

  • Liquid Starch
  • Cheesecloth
  • small balloon
  • mason jar
  • 2 pipe cleaners

PS: Cheesecloth can be hard to find at your local Walmart or Target. Try Trader Joes, Whole Foods, or Sprouts.

Make Chalkboard Paint–Chalkboard Rocks!

I went to purchase chalkboard paint at my local hobby store and realized that its really expensive. So, I went online and found a cheaper homemade alternative! I recently made this homemade chalk paint and it worked wonderfully. Plus, you can use this paint on smooth rocks for fun holiday centerpieces. Want to make this DIY project as well? If so, here are the supplies you’ll need:

  • Paint (any paint works)
  • Non-Sanded Tile Grout
  • foam brush

Who out there loves the Halloween holiday? I do, I do! I love making treats and crafts that celebrate all things Halloween. So, this October, I plan on making this fun Halloween Ribbon Wreath. From the directions, this wreath seems inexpensive and relatively easy to assemble at home. If you’d like to craft this wreath together as well, be sure to have the following supplies ready:

  • A variety of ribbon from your ribbon stash
  • A straw wreath

I just found the most fun project to share with my kiddos! When I make DIY projects at home, my children always want to use my spray paint. I recently found this Canvas String Art Graffiti craft, which will be perfect for my older kids to make. The aftermath of the canvas looks neat and colorful, so this project is a no-brainer.
