DIY Eucalyptus Vapor Bath Salts!

Do you like to take baths before bed to rid your stress? I sure do! If you’re like me, then be sure to make to make these Eucalyptus Vapor Bath Salts! I recently made this DIY project and these eucalyptus salts smell absolutely amazing! Want to make this bath salt remedy as well? If you’d like to make these salts too, be sure to pick up the following ingredients:

  • 1 cup Epsom Salts
  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • 10 drops Eucalyptus Essential Oils
  • 5 drops Lavender Essential Oils

PS: You can find these essential oils at Amazon or health-food stores. Not every Target or Walmart store may carry these essential oils, but keep your eye out.

Make Your Own Super Healing Cold Sore Lip Balm!

Do you or your loved ones have cold sores during the winter? I sure do! If you’d like a herbal remedy for these annoying sores, be sure to check out this Super Healing Cold Sore Lip Balm project! I haven’t made this lip balm yet, but I plan to next week for future occurrences. Nothing makes my family more cranky than having cracked and dry cold sores. If you’d like to make this remedy as well, be sure to have the following ingredients ready:

  • 4 tablespoons lemon balm infused oil
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon of coconut oil (if allergic, just substitute more lemon balm oil)
  • 1/2 tablespoon tamanu oil (an amazing oil that heals a multitude of skin conditions)
  • 1/2 tablespoon castor oil (helps the lip balm go on smoothly, adds a bit of gloss)
  • 2 scant tablespoons beeswax (or half as much candelilla wax for vegans)
  • 1 tablespoon shea butter (or mango butter)
  • 15 drops tea tree oil (also effective against herpes simplex, see this study)
  • 25 drops of peppermint essential oil (cooling, analgesic, I put extra so the lip balm can smell great!)
  • 2 drops of clove bud oil (optional, for pain relief)

I tried this recipe last year and my entire family loved it, especially some of my picky eaters. I know that my family will be asking for this recipe throughout the entire winter.   • White Melting Chocolate
  • Mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
  • Wilton Candy Eyes
  • Orange Jimmies (I got mixed rainbow jimmies and just picked them out)

  • Silicon baking mat or wax paper

How To Make A Wreath From Pinecones!

I love picking up fallen pinecones from trees during the fall. Plus, tons of crafts use these pinecones for display during these colder months. I wanted to make something unique and I found this pinecone wreath DIY project! I haven’t made my own wreath yet, but I had to share this fun craft with our readers. If you do not live in an area with pine trees, you can find these pinecones at any local craft store. Here are the materials needed to make this project:

  • 40 large pinecones – size depends on size of wreath
  • Spring color spray paints – turquoise spray paint , light green spray paint , pink spray paint
  • Old newspapers (or other material to protect the surface while spray painting)
  • Ribbon for hanging
  • Wire wreath form or a wire hanger formed into a circle
  • Fishing line or floral wire
  • Wire cutters
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks (optional)

Are you wanting to jazz up your house for the holidays with some beautiful garland? If so, I recently found this DIY Magnolia Leaf Garland arrangement idea, which looks relatively easy to make myself! Plus, only five supplies are required! For this project, you’ll need about 20 or 25 magnolia leaves per foot, depending on how full you’d like your garland. If you’d like to make this garland as well, be sure to have the following supplies:

  • fresh magnolia leaves
  • floral wire
  • rope or thick twine
  • wire cutters
  • gloves

PS: Need help locating these supplies for this garland? If so, visit your local Home Depot or Lowe’s, because they may have these Magnolia leaves in-stock.
