The Christmas holiday is right around the corner, which means decorating the tree. Have you ever wanted to customize your ornaments? If not, you should! Plus, this would be a fun project to make with your family. Even better, you can keep these ornaments and have the crafting memory last forever. Want to make this DIY project this weekend as well? If so, you’ll need to pick up the following supplies:

Glittered Glass Ornaments

  • Clear glass ornaments.
  • Glitter
  • Pledge floor polish OR Glitter
  • Small Dixie cup
  • Paper towels

Painted Glass Ornaments

  • Clear glass ornaments
  • Acrylic paint
  • Small dixie cup
  • Paper Towels

PS: I’ve seen plenty of clear glass ornaments at my local Thrift store. At Goodwill, I’ve usually seen a holiday section.

Yarn Pumpkin DIY Project!

Want to decorate your home with a variety of pumpkins this fall? If so, I recently found this Yarn Pumpkin project, which looks fun and inexpensive to make! I’ve seen a variety of these yarn crafts, but have never made one myself. This yarn pumpkin would be the perfect one for my kids and I to make together. If you’d like to make this DIY project too, be sure to have the following supplies:

  • 21 pieces of orange yarn, cut to 36 inch lengths
  • 2 ounces of white glue (I used glue from the dollar store)
  • 1 balloon (12 inch size), blown up half full
  • 1 brown pipe cleaner and 1 green pipe cleaner

In the mood to make a DIY project this weekend? If so, I found this Pottery Barn Inspired Round Jute Placemats project last week. Pottery Barn can be pricey, so try making these placemats at home. These mats would look amazing under my festive holiday dishes for Thanksgiving. If you’d like to make this easy craft too, be sure to pick up the following supplies at your local craft store:

  • 3/8″ jute
  • hot glue gun

PS: I was able to find this jute material at my local Michael’s store for under $5! I plan on making this project next weekend, because its so inexpensive.

Scalloped Paper Pumpkin Project!

Want to make a different type of craft this October? If so, you have to view this Scalloped Paper Pumpkin project! The different layers make this pumpkin look absolutely adorable. I plan on making a similar craft this weekend with my kiddos. This pumpkin would look great all fall season, not just Halloween. Here are the needed supplies, if you’d like to make this ombre pumpkin decoration:

  • Pumpkin
  • Tissue paper
  • Small round object to use as a template
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Double sided tape

PS: You can use a faux or real pumpkin for this seasonal project. I plan on using a faux one from my local craft store.
