We have another fantastic slow cooker meal to bring our readers. I recently found this Red Beans And Rice recipe and it was delicious, as expected. I love using these slow cookers instead of the oven, because it keeps the house cool. Plus, in my opinion, you cannot go wrong with Red Beans and Rice! If you’d like to make this dish too, be sure to have the following:

  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 3 celery stalks, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1¼ pounds chicken andouille sausage (I used Amylu brand), cut into thin slices
  • 1 pound dry red kidney beans
  • 1 tsp salt, or more to taste
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp white pepper (optional)
  • 1 tsp hot sauce (I used Texas Pete)
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme (or ½ tsp dried thyme)
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 7 cups water
  • 10 cups cooked rice

Maleficent Candy Apples Recipe! Perfect for Halloween!

Last year, I went to Disneyland and found these incredible Maleficent Candy Apples in Downtown Disney! Watching the recent Maleficent movie and having this treat would be a wonderful Halloween themed party. I haven’t made this fun candy apple yet, but I know my kids would love to help me with this! Want to make this sweet treat for Halloween as well? If so, here’s the ingredients you’ll need:

  • 11 Ounces(312 gm) caramel candy
  • 3 Granny Smith apples
  • Homemade rice crispies
  • 10 Ounces(284 gm) black candy melts
  • 12 Ounce(340 gm) green candy melts
  • Vanilla buttercream frosting (your choice)
  • Purple sugar sprinkles
  • Purple food coloring (added in frosting)
  • 3 Wooden Candy Apple Sticks
  • 1 Mustache cookie cutter (cutting out horns)
  • Squeezing bottles
  • wax paper

Slow Cooker Cinnamon Apple Cider Recipe!

In the mood for a new take on the standard apple cider this fall? If so, I recently found this Slow Cooker Cinnamon Apple Cider Recipe. I haven’t made this drink yet, but it looks fun to make. I’ve never made a apple cider drink in the slow cooker, but it seems easy enough. Plus, the smell of this cider will probably make my home smell wonderful. If this recipe interests you too, be sure to have the following ingredients:

  • 1 gallon Tree Top Apple Cider (128 oz.)
  • 1 cup Original Red Hots Cinnamon Candy
  • 3 Cinnamon Sticks

Want to make a pretty mirror for yourself or your kids room? If so, you’ll have to check out this Dresser Mirror Simple DIY Project! I haven’t made this fun craft yet, but I plan to very soon. My daughter saw the picture and requested that we make this project together. If you want to make this simple mirror craft too, be sure to have the following supplies on hand:

  • round mirror
  • large, round acrylic tray
  • 2-3 bags of Accent Gems
  • glue that works with non-porous surfaces (E6000 or Glu6 Original)
  • plate stand (sturdy enough to hold mirror)

PS: I was able to find these accent jems, acrylic tray, and plate stand at my local Dollar Tree. If you’d like to save money on the mirror, you can usually find inexpensive mirrors at your local thrift store.

In the mood for some delicious pasta this weekend? If so, you must try this Spicy Sausage Pasta dish because its an absolute delight. I love all things spicy and this pasta hit the spot. My husband adored this recipe as well, because he loves sausage. Sound good to you? If so, you’ll need to pick up the following ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 pound smoked sausage
  • 1/2 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 (10 oz.) can of tomatoes and green chilies
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 10 oz. wagon wheel pasta
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • Scallions, thinly sliced, for garnish

An Easy & Inexpensive Way To Organize Drawers!

Need to organizer your drawers or closets at home? If so, I recently stumbled upon a article that showed an inexpensive DIY project that will help keep you organized! I recently tried this organizational craft myself last week! I was pleasantly surprised just how easy this drawer organizer was to make. Thinking about making this drawer organizer too? If so, here are the required materials:

  • 48″ Wood Lath (cut into pieces of your drawer size)
  • Wood Glue
  • Optional: Large Clamps
  • White Paint
  • Drawer Liner
  • Scissors

PS: I was able to have my local Home Depot store cut these wood laths for FREE, wohoo.

Removing Rust Stains From Stainless Steel!

Do you need to remove rust stains from your stainless steel at home? I sure do! Instead of buying new pans and cookie sheets, be sure to use this solution to remove that unwanted rust. I recently tried this tutorial and it worked wonderfully. You’ll need to have the following supplies ready at home, if wanting to make this solution too:

  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1-2 tablespoons baking soda

PS: I didn’t have a lemon on hand, but had lemon juice available. The bottled lemon juice worked just as well.
