Slow Cooker Baked Apples Recipe!

I love eating apples during the fall time, as do my relatives! Last week, I made these delicious slow cooker baked apples. Long story short, my in-laws absolutely loved these baked apples. Plus, in my opinion, nothing is better than cinnamon, apples, and oats! If you’d like to make this slow cooker dish as well, be sure to have the following ingredients ready at home:

  • 6 Baking Apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • ¼ Cup Brown Sugar
  • ¼ Cup Rolled Oats
  • ¼ Cup All-purpose Flour
  • ½ Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ¼ Teaspoon Nutmeg
  • ⅛ Teaspoon Ground Cloves
  • 4 Tablespoons Butter (Cold)

Crock Pot Pecan Pie Recipe!

I have never made a pie in the crock pot before now, but it seemed simple enough! My husband recently asked for pecan pie, so I found this slow cooker version of the classic pie recipe. Long story short, my husband devoured this sweet treat. He had three helpings of this pecan pie dish! If you’d like to try this recipe too, be sure to have the following ingredients ready:

  • 1 refrigerated pie crust
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ⅔ cup dark corn syrup
  • ⅓ cup melted butter
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups chopped pecans (or a combination of chopped and whole pecan halves)
  • Vanilla ice cream for serving

I recently found a fun and inexpensive craft for the fall! This Popsicle Scarecrow project would be perfect for the week of Thanksgiving. Plus, my family has been saving our popsicle sticks from our summer freezer pops. My kids will love making these scarecrows with different facial expressions. Want to make this popsicle art as well? If so, just have the following supplies ready at home:

  • 8 Popsicle Sticks
  • Glue
  • Brown, yellow, white, orange paper
  • Scissors
  • Brown/black marker
  • Brown paint

PS: If you do not have any popsicle sticks at home, then go to your local craft store. You should be able to purchase some of these sticks for under $2 for 30 sticks.

DIY Butterfly Face Painting!

Need a quick and easy Halloween face painting idea? Here is a great DIY tutorial on an easy to follow Fall Colored Butterfly!

Directions:
1. Sanitize hands!
2. Choose a design Decide which colors you would like to use.
3. Start at the corner of the eye and fan out. Do this like an X.
4. Then add the outter part of the wings in a second color.
5. Blend the two together lightly.
5. Draw the body, antennae, and outline the butterfly with as much or as little detail as you like.
6. Add gems or glitter as you wish.
7. You may like to add some color to the lips as a finishing touch.

**Member to use a Q tip for the lips for hygiene reasons**
**It is important to remember and clean out your brushes and sponges and dry them well**

  • 1 c (150g) frozen unsweetened strawberries
  • ¾ c (180mL) nonfat or non-dairy milk
  • 1 tsp (5mL) butter extract
  • Optional: Truvia or other sweetener, to taste

DIY Festive Fall Mason Jars!

Do you want to add a little flair to your Fall decor but tight on a budget? I love money saving decorating ideas like these Fall Mason Jars! They set a great ambiance in the room too! Below you will find a list of materials and directions!

Materials:
*Mason Jars
*Corn Kernels
*Acorns
*Plastic Pumpkins
*Votive Candles
*Glass Votive Holders

Directions:
1. Place candle into votive holders and place votive holders in jars.
2. Add your decor around the votive holders almost to the top of the holders.
3. Place candle where you prefer and light!

I had some mason jars at home from other projects and the rest of the supplies I was able to find at the Dollar Store!!
