Here’s A Great DIY Boredom Buster!

Hey Parents! Kids are getting ready to head back to school, but not before you hear one more “MOM I AM BORED!”. Stop boredom in its tracks with this super fun and inexpensive DIY! You can can find all the materials need at your local dollar store or you pantry!

Materials:
*Bags of marshmallows
*Toothpicks
*Bead (optional)

Directions:
1. Open bag of marshmallows and divide toothpicks among kids.
2. Start building!

It is really that simple! You can give them ideas if you want like, build a square, or how high can you make it without falling! The options are endless! My son tends to eat more of the marshmallows that actually building with them, but it does keep them occupied for a while!

Sea Breeze Bath Bombs Recipe!

Have you ever been to the Lush store? If not, they have fun bath bombs. Basically, its scenty soap that dissolves in the bath water. They’re amazing, but so expensive! So, why not make your own at home?! These make fun anniversary or birthday gifts. If you’d like to make one of these bath bombs as well, then be sure to have the following ingredients ready:

  • 1 cup of baking soda
  • 1/2 cup of citric acid
  • 1 tbsp of cornstarch
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/4 tsp lake coloring
  • 1 tbsp apricot kernel oil
  • 10-12 drops essential oil
  • Witch Hazel
  • Rubbing Alcohol

These are just some of the basic ingredients. You can add glitter or other essential oils to make your bath bomb unique. Let us know what bath bomb you’ve made and what you think of this idea.

Need to remove wallpaper? If so, I found an easy remedy that should help everyone! You can remove wallpaper with only two ingredients! Plus, you probably already have these supplies at home. Isn’t that great and thrifty? If you plan on removing wallpaper in your home, be sure to pick up the following supplies:

  • 2 C Water
  • 1/8 C Downy Laundry Softener

PS: I’ve actually found tiny bottles of Downy Softener at my local Dollar Tree.

How To Make a Stress Ball!

Want to make a homemade stress ball? If so, you will not need many supplies for this project! This stress ball craft would be great for family reunions, boy scouts, summer camp, and more! I recently made this craft with my kids and it was surprisingly easy to construct.  Want to make this stress ball as well? If so, here is what you’ll need:

  • 3 balloons
  • 1/3- 1/2 cup of flour
  • empty water bottle (with thin sides that you can squish)
  • funnel and pencil or chop stick
  • scissors

PS: I was able to find all of these ingredients at my local dollar store, which saved me money!
