Butter Chicken Recipe!

In the mood for ethnic and Indian food? If so, you must try this Butter Chicken dish. This is my favorite type of dish, so this was a no-brainer recipe! Plus, my kids enjoy eating this curry dish was some store-bought naan. I’ve tried to make naan at home previously and it is never as good. Want to make this delicious recipe as well? If so, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • ½ cup plain yoghurt, full fat
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp tumeric powder
  • 2 tsp garam masala (Note 1)
  • ½ tsp chili powder or cayenne pepper powder (Note 2)
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp fresh grated ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1.5 lb / 750 g chicken thigh fillets, cut into bite size pieces
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil or ghee (Note 3)
  • 1 cup tomato passata or puree (also known as Tomato Sauce in America) (Note 4)
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup cream (full fat or light) OR for a lighter version use ¾ cup light cream + ¼ cup milk (low fat) (I used this)
  • Rice
  • Coriander/cilantro (optional)

Cheesecake Brownies Recipe!

In the mood for something sweet tonight or later this weekend? If you are a lover of brownies, then you must try these delicious Cheesecake Brownies! I recently tried this recipe and my family is already asking for it again. Want to make this sweet as well? If so, here are the ingredients you’ll need:

  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ⅔ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Fun DIY For Toddlers!

Hey parents! Do your toddlers sometimes feel left out when the older kids are crafting and making DIYs? If so, then this one is just perfect for them! How many of you remember the candy necklaces? They were so fun to wear and eat while walking around! This is just a slight spin on that! Besides, don’t toddler have enough energy? Below you will find a list of materials and directions!

Materials:
1. Box or a handful of plain cheerios
2. Unflavored dental floss works great or a piece of string
3. Patience

Directions:
1. Measure how long you would like this necklace to hang on your toddler.
2. String on the cheerios.
3. Tie a good knot in the necklace using both ends of the string.
4. Place on toddler and snack away!

What I loved most about this DIY is that I could involve my toddler and he not get upset! WE have fun talking and snacking while make this! Make sure you make the necklace big enough to slip over child head and hit about mid chest!

Fall is almost here and you know what that means! Caramel Apples! I recently found this Caramel Apple Slice Recipe, which looks like a neat spin-off. Dipping apples in caramel is my favorite treat during the fall, so I’ll definitely be making this.   • White or Wooden Lollipop Sticks
  • Melting Chocolate
  • Caramel

Sparkling Blueberry Lemonade Recipe!

Doesn’t this Sparkling Blueberry Lemonade recipe sound refreshing? Well, it is! I made a similar recipe this summer and my kids are already asking for it again. Plus, it is easy, fun, and inexpensive to make. My kids love helping me in the kitchen when making their drinks. Want to make this as well? If so, you’ll need to pick up the following ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup white sugar, superfine is best
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 and 1/2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 cup (~4-5 whole large lemons) freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 3 cups sparkling water or club soda
