RECALL: New Recall On Britax Child Safety Seats!

Oh no! We have a new child safety seat recall you need to know about! Britax Child Safety is recalling 207,037 B-Safe 35, B-Safe 35 Travel Systems, B-Safe 35 Elite, B-Safe 35 Elite Travel Systems and BOB B-Safe rear-facing infant child safety seats! If you have one of these, you need to check the model numbers! The seats have a center tab on the chest clip marked “ABS” that may break, presenting a choking hazard to an infant in the car seat, increasing the risk of injury.

Britax will notify owners and will provide a replacement chest clip marked “PC”, free of charge. The recall was expected to begin June 21, 2017.

Bummer! Select Granola Bars Recalled! Check Your Cabinets!


Does your family eat lots of granola? You may be affected by this recall! The New England Natural Bakers of Massachusetts issued a recall on Organic, Evoke, and Millville brands of granola bars because they could be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a germ causing a serious, sometimes fatal illness. The recall affects certain products with various “best by” dates in 2018, so check your cabinets now! My kids love granola. Luckily, I don’t have any of these brands! Go here for more info!

WOW! Chef Boyardee Recalls Over 700,000lbs of Spaghetti & Meatballs!

OH NO! We have yet another recall notice! If your kids love Chef Boyardee, you’ll want to read this! Recently, Chef Boyardee has recalled over 700,000 pounds of products because of misbranding. Whoa! Some of the products contained milk, which is a commonly known allergen. However, many of the products produced on January 5, 2017 and January 12, 2017, did not declare the allergen on the label. Check your cans to see if you have some of the mislabeled can.

Dog Chew Toy Recall! Is Your Pet Affected??

Have you bought your pet a rawhide chew toy recently? If you, you will want to take a look at the recall! Multiple brands of rawhide dog chew products distributed nationwide are being recalled over concerns they could contain a compound chemical that could be harmful to your pets. The recall affects dog chews that contain rawhide and applies to some American Beefhide, Digest-eeze and Healthy Hide products. Check your labels! Go here for more info.

Oh No! Major Hot Dog Recall!

Are planning on grilling hot dogs this memorial day weekend? You want to check out this recall! This recall impacts two major national brands, Nathan’s and Curtis. However, only one product from each brand is subject to recall. They are:

Nathan’s SKINLESS 8 BEEF FRANKS, 14 oz.
Curtis BEEF MASTER Beef Franks, 16 oz.

John Morrell produced the hot dogs on January 26, 2017, and the products’ “Use by” dates are August 19, 2017 (Nathan’s) and June 15, 2017 (Curtis). Both packages also bear the establishment number “EST. 296” on the side of the package. I love Nathan’s Hot Dogs, so I will be checking my packages to see if they are affected!

Oh No! Recall On BrightFarms Produce!

Do you buy produce at Giant? If so, we have some bad news! Giant Foods have issued a recall on their BrightFarms packaged produce. This is due to possible concerns of metal in the products. The store advises customers to throw away the products involved and bring their receipt to Giant Food for a full refund. Check out the list below. Were you affected? Let us know! The recall includes the below-packaged salad products with dates on the package of 5/22/17 – 5/26/17.
• BrightFarms Baby Spinach (4 oz. package)
• BrightFarms Spring Mix (4 oz. and 8 oz. package)

• BrightFarms Baby Kale (3 oz. package)
• BrightFarms Arugula (4 oz. and 8 oz. package)
• BrightFarms Mixed Greens (4 oz. package)
• BrightFarms Baby Romaine (4 oz. and 8 oz. package)

The recall also includes the below basil products with dates on the package of 5/18/17 – 5/23/17.
• BrightFarms Basil (.75 oz. package)
• BrightFarms Thai Basil (.75 oz. package)
• BrightFarms Lemon Basil (.75 oz. package)

Oh No! New Ice Cream Recall!

Do you shop at Trader Joe’s? I do! If you do too, we have some new! Mikawaya has recalled a batch of its chocolate mochi ice cream sold at Trader Joe’s stores because the product contains peanuts. Peanuts are not listed as an ingredient on the boxes of Japanese-style ice cream desert with a coating of pounded sticky rice. It’s so good, but super dangerous if you have peanut allergies!
