Red Velvet Hot Chocolate With Cream Cheese Whipped Cream Recipe!

It is hot chocolate season! My new absolute favorite version of this holiday drink is Red Velvet Hot Chocolate with Cream Cheese Whipped Cream. I recently found a homemade recipe of this drink that I just had to share with our readers.  Plus, nothing is better than red velvet, hot chocolate, and cream cheese! If you’d like to make this hot chocolate drink as well, be sure to have the following ingredients ready:

  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 10 ounces semi-sweet baking chocolate, coarsely chopped (I used mini chocolate chips)
  • 2 teaspoons McCormick® Red Food Color
  • 1 teaspoon McCormick® Pure Vanilla Extract

For Cream Cheese Whipped Cream:

  • 1/4 cup heavy cream, cold
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Pure Vanilla Extract

How To Make A Wreath From Pinecones!

I love picking up fallen pinecones from trees during the fall. Plus, tons of crafts use these pinecones for display during these colder months. I wanted to make something unique and I found this pinecone wreath DIY project! I haven’t made my own wreath yet, but I had to share this fun craft with our readers. If you do not live in an area with pine trees, you can find these pinecones at any local craft store. Here are the materials needed to make this project:

  • 40 large pinecones – size depends on size of wreath
  • Spring color spray paints – turquoise spray paint , light green spray paint , pink spray paint
  • Old newspapers (or other material to protect the surface while spray painting)
  • Ribbon for hanging
  • Wire wreath form or a wire hanger formed into a circle
  • Fishing line or floral wire
  • Wire cutters
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks (optional)

Are you wanting to jazz up your house for the holidays with some beautiful garland? If so, I recently found this DIY Magnolia Leaf Garland arrangement idea, which looks relatively easy to make myself! Plus, only five supplies are required! For this project, you’ll need about 20 or 25 magnolia leaves per foot, depending on how full you’d like your garland. If you’d like to make this garland as well, be sure to have the following supplies:

  • fresh magnolia leaves
  • floral wire
  • rope or thick twine
  • wire cutters
  • gloves

PS: Need help locating these supplies for this garland? If so, visit your local Home Depot or Lowe’s, because they may have these Magnolia leaves in-stock.

Bacon Jalapeno Popper Bread Recipe!

During the winter, I love making homemade bread! One of my favorite sweets is this Bacon Jalapeno Popper Bread recipe. My family loves this bread so much that we’ve made this dish three times this month. Want to make this bread as well? If so, be sure to pick up the following ingredients:

  • 8-10 slices bacon, after cooked and chopped you’ll need 2 cups
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup diced jalapeno, this will be about 1 large jalapeno, I diced seeds as well
  • 2 cups mild cheddar cheese
  • 12 ounce buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
