Have you ever played and/or crafted a cootie catcher as a kid? If so, has your child? I remember making these during my youth and having so much fun. However, I do not believe my kids have made one. So, I found this fun Cootie Catcher/ Fortune Teller DIY project! Want to make this DIY craft yourself? If so, be sure to have:

  • Letter Sized Sheet of Paper
  • Scissors
  • Pen

Helpful Hint: When I made this craft with my own kids, I made it along with them. It helped them see how I was making the craft as well. Plus, I kept extra paper out, in case of mistakes.

Pizza Pinwheels Recipe! A Fun Variation!

Do you like pizza? If so, you can make these fun Pizza Pinwheels! Plus, making these with your kids would be a fun Saturday activity. I have yet to make these, but my kids love making pizza variations. Yours will too! If you’d like to make this dinner yourself, here is what you’ll need:

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 TBSP yeast
  • 1 TBSP sugar
  • 1 TBSP oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2- 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/2- 2 cups Ragu® Six Cheese Pasta Sauce + more for dipping
  • 2 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups total pizza toppings- mini pepperoni, diced ham, sliced olives, and pineapple tidbits, etc.

Are you diabetic or just want to cut out sugar? If so, this is the recipe for you. I’ve recently made these Sugar Free Homemade Marshmallows and my family enjoyed them. My kids did not even notice the lack of sugar, which was great! If you’d like to make this as well, be sure to pick up the following ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons gelatin
  • ½ cup cold water
  • 1½ cup of granulated sweetener per your dietary needs.
  • ½ cup hot water
  • ½ cup liquid sweetener (I used vegetable glycerin)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Even if you do not have any pasta leftover, you can usually pick up an entire box at the grocery store for around $1! This is a great thrift craft for your family! Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Fun chalk markers or paint
  • Black sharpie
  • White paper
  • Small bow-tie noodles
  • Glue
