Memorial Day Red White And Blue Strawberries!

Memorial Day weekend is a little over a week away! Do you plan anything as a family like, a cookout, family get together, or a bonfire? My family and I will be traveling to visit family this year and making these adorable Red, White, & Blue strawberries! Want to make them too? Find directions below:

Ingredients:
*Strawberries (washed and dried)
*Melted white chocolate
*Blue sugar sprinkles

Directions:
*dip your strawberries about 3/4 of the way into the melted chocolate, tap or shake off excess chocolate. Then once the excess is done dripping off, dip 1/2 of the white chocolate into the blue sugar sprinkles. Set them on wax paper to harden. You can place them in the refrigerator too for about 10 mins too!
*take out of refrigerator and arrange on a plate!
*ENJOY!!

Do you enjoy green smoothies or just want to slim down? If so, you’ll need to make this Mango Green Tea Smoothie recipe, because it is delicious. I’ve made this recipe several times after my workout on the weekends. It is a great way to enjoy your food and eat healthy. Plan on making this yourself?  If so, here is what you’ll need:

  • 1 1/2 cups brewed and fully chilled green tea
  • 1 1/2 cups (8.5 oz) frozen diced mangos
  • 2 medium ripe bananas
  • 2 cups packed (2.5 oz) fresh spinach
  • 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 small handful fresh mint (optional, I like it with or without)

Breakfast Taco Recipe! Yummy!

Does your family enjoy breakfast like mine? My husband always asks for me to make breakfast food for dinner! So, I thought I’d share one of our favorite recipe finds, the Breakfast Taco! Doesn’t this sound amazing?! Well, it tastes great too! Want to make these yourself? If so, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1 lb Russet potatoes (about 3 medium)*
  • 1 3/4 cups refried beans, homemade or store bought
  • 8 oz bacon, cooked and chopped and 2 1/2 Tbsp drippings reserved
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 1/4 cups shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese (I use a blend of both)
  • Fire Roasted Tomato Salsa, recipe follows
  • 8 taco size flour tortillas, warmed

I love ice cream! However, sometimes I want something lighter that has less calories. So, I found this Banana Split Bite recipe and I was hooked! This recipe is so fun and simple, which is perfect for my family. Plus, the snack is not filled with junk and unknown ingredients. You’ll need:

  • 3 Bananas
  • 1/4 lb Cored Pineapple
  • 6 Strawberries
  • 1 cup Dipping Chocolate
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Peanuts
  • 12 Popsicle Sticks (or skewers)
