Adorable Mini Paper Kites DIY!

Looking for something fun to do with your kids this weekend? If so, why not make these adorable mini paper kites! This would be a great way to bust boredom and spend time with your kids. Isn’t this a fun idea? If you’d like to make this DIY with your family, be sure to have the following supplies:

  • Coordinating craft paper (any 8.5 x 11″ paper will work)
  • Paper straws (2 per kite)
  • String or twine for the kite string (at least 25-30″ long)
  • Light-weight string, twine or decorative ribbon for the tail of kite (at least 20″ long)
  • Decorative ribbon scraps
  • Elmer’s X-treme School Glue Stick
  • All purpose glue
  • Glittler glue for decorating (optional)
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Ruler

Do you remember having a kaleidoscope as a kid? I do, because it was one of my favorite toys! So, why not make one for your kids to enjoy? Plus, this seems like a relatively easy DIY project to make. I need to make this project with my own kids sometime soon! Here are the supplies, you’ll need for this craft:

  • Paper towel tube
  • 12 x 12 card stock or scrapbook paper
  • Thin clear plastic (can be scrap from packaging)
  • Colorful translucent beads
  • Cardboard
  • Aluminum foil
  • Hot glue gun
  • Scissors
  • Marker
  • Washi tape or other decorations (optional)

DIY Re-purposed Knob Lid Containers!

DIY Ideas: Start by going thru your empty candle jars that have been melted all the way through! If you do not have any of these empty candles, visit your local thrift store or garage sale and find some nice glass containers for cheap. Then, you will be on your way to re-purposing these containers! You can paint them, add these knobs, and have a great decoration for spring!

A few things that you can re-purpose those containers can hold:

  • Buttons
  • Leftover Change
  • And More!!!

Hula Girl Paper Toilet Roll Craft! Great for the Summer!

Instead of throwing away empty toilet rolls, why not make a craft with them? I recently stumbled upon this Hula Girl Paper Toilet Roll Craft and my kid want to make this project! So, I will be making this summer DIY with my kids soon. Doesn’t this sound like so much fun? If you think so too, you will need the following supplies:

  • Toilet Roll Cores
  • Construction Paper
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Markers (Sharpies are best)
  • Glitter Glue Pens (easier to use than loose glitter! and less cleanup!!)
  • Craft Paint
  • Paint Brush
