Soft Sour Cream Sugar Cookie Recipe!

Plan on making some sugar cookies after Thanksgiving for the holiday season? If so, you must try this Soft Sour Cream Sugar Cookie recipe. I’ve made this recipe with my cookie cutters before and my kids loved them. Plus, this recipe keeps your sugar cookies soft all week. If you’d like to make these cookies as well, be sure to have the following ingredients ready:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups flour, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
Buttercream Frosting
  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 3-4 Tbsp milk or Kefir
Cream Cheese Frosting
  • 1 package of Cream Cheese (8oz)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • pinch of salt
