1. Massage

This one is almost a no-brainer. During pregnancy, your body retains more fluid. Plus, the extra weight you and your growing baby gain puts pressure on your veins and arteries.

To relieve pregnancy feet, get that fluid moving with a little massage.

2. Modify Your Shoes

Ladies, we all love a cute open-toe pump, but when you’re pregnant you’ll have to stash them in the back of the closet. High heels, narrow-toe boxes, and shoes that lack support are some of the worst instigators of pregnancy feet.

Try to wear sandals or go barefoot as often as possible. If that’s not an option, get some flat shoes with good support.

3. Drink More Water

Your body will hold onto every drop of water it can during pregnancy. To minimize water retention, drinking more water will help.

4. Keep Moving

Sitting is no good for your feet and legs, but neither is standing for a long time. Try to find a happy medium where you have the option of propping up your feet.

Try going on walks and incorporate exercise into your daily routine to help deal with swelling and pain.

5. Compression Socks

Sometimes, you just can’t be bothered to drink all that water, your hubby isn’t in the mood to give you a massage, and you don’t feel like exercising. We get it.

Compression socks are your friend here. Just throw them on to keep swelling at bay during most of the day. It’s quick, easy, and gets the job done.
