Africa is renowned for its stunning landscapes, world-famous safaris, and warm hospitality. But with so many countries to visit, it’s difficult knowing what to include in your itinerary. Perhaps you’re currently in the planning stage and you’re looking for inspiration to guide your decisions.

Sounds familiar? Luckily, you’ve come to the right place. Here’s what to do in Africa.

Visit the Great Pyramids in Egypt

Because of this, you should visit the pyramids of Giza. Make sure you take a guided tour where you can learn about the history and discuss the mystery surrounding it.

Go Gorilla Trekking in Uganda

One of the top things to do in Africa is going gorilla trekking in Uganda. Although it’s not guaranteed you’ll see them, take a tour through a Bwindi forest and look out for these majestic beauties.

The beauty is these gorillas are in their natural habit, making it a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Hike the Otter Trail in South Africa

Hiking the Otter Trail shouldn’t go amiss on your African vacation. This trail meanders through the Tsitsikamma National Park where you get sweeping views of white-sand beaches and luscious forests.

Know, the total distance is around 45 kilometers so several days should be enough time to explore it.

Still looking for things to see in Africa? Then, take on the challenge of climbing Kilimanjaro.

The journey will take around nine days and you’ll need a hiking guide to help you succeed.

A trip to the continent isn’t complete without an African safari. Regardless of where you are, you can spot elephants, lions, and even hyenas in the wild.

You can either choose to book accommodation or spend an afternoon immersed in wildlife spotting.

Camp in the Moroccan Desert

If you want to take a break from African sightseeing, spend several nights in the Sahara desert. Treat yourself to a sunset camel ride and feast on the local delicacies back at camp.

And, before hitting the hay, stargaze with loved ones and soak up the overwhelming quiet.

Take a Cooking Class in Zanzibar

There’s no better way to learn about African culture than by taking a cooking class in Zanzibar. Otherwise known as “Spice Island”, tourists can visit the spice farms and gather souvenirs.
