I have very bad news regarding Superpoints Network. They have announced an immediate shutdown of the site today on, November 7, 2012 at 3PM.
This is very bad news for those that didn’t have a chance to redeem their points yet like me. I had enough for $10 paypal and was trying to earn more.
I guess that will not be happening now. I am very disappointed that they could not even warn their members first.
If you had already redeemed before 3PM today, then they assured everyone they will honor those redemptions.
I hope for those members they honor that promise.
From the message posted on their site:
At the end of January, 2011 the current team began to manage operations of Superpoints.com on behalf of its owner, Superpoints, LLC, in the hopes that we could build a great rewards community. We did our best, but unfortunately Superpoints, LLC has decided to cancel our management relationship and take back management of the site.
Unfortunately we are forced to suspend access to Superpoints.com and members will no longer have access to the site as of 3:00 pm central time on November 7th, 2012. We’re saddened to have to take this action, but extenuating circumstances have forced our hand. We’ll do our best to complete fulfillments on a timely basis for those rewards claimed prior to the site’s suspension.

What are your thoughts?
Wow..I had enough points for the $10 giftcard too, that just sucks to put it nicely, I feel they could have let everyone know by email sooner so we’d have the chance to get our prize
Yeah..Im kind of crush by superpoints being temporarily down, i loved that site!
I am so sooo glad that I stopped wasting my time on that site months ago and switched all my efforts to Gifthulk. Most companies and organizations give their users at least 1-2 weeks notice of any changes that will be coming their way. The fact that Superpoints failed to inform their users reflects poorly on them. GiftHulk always notified 1-2 weeks prior to the change and they almost never change their rules – only add new ways for me to earn!
Nooo I had 700+ points -.-
I guess I was too late, I was about to make my first claim and just needed a few more points to redeem for a 10 dollar gift card. I had 1173 points and needed a minimal of 1200 to make my first redemption there. I guess I’ll have to justify this as a (forced) donation. It seems prize cost increasing earlier in the year casuing me to miss out on redemption was a sign of what was to come. I wonder how much profit they made from all the extra points in the accounts they suspended…
I was definitely shocked, especially since they didn’t give any warning. I had just redeemed for a ten dollar Amazon card, thankfully. But I still had about 475 points in my account. I was going to try and just leave it there to see how much I could earn for the rest of this month, but now I’m glad I redeemed when I did.
